We use the term vintage when a piece of furniture is between 25 and 100 years old. A vintage interior is an open and modest style with colour accents. Typical vintage colours are natural tones such as olive green, blue, pastel tones, mustard colours, lead grey and earth tones. Furniture with round shapes and simplistic designs are true vintage eye-catchers, think of stick cabinet furniture with the typical cigar legs. The furniture exudes character and atmosphere. Wood types such as walnut are often used in this interior style, but teak and rosewood were also widely used in Danish design at the time. Materials such as bamboo and rattan are also completely in place within this style. On the other hand, natural materials such as wool, marble and travertine provide extra warmth in the interior.
