This term is derived from the French expression 'La Boheme', which means gypsy. Bohemians were nomads; through the extensive travel they collected items from different parts of the world. In this interior style, many different colours can be combined with a variety of prints, Aztec and Eastern influences, many plants and various materials such as macramé, rattan, leather, wood and textiles. This style creates a holiday feeling and is very similar to the botanical style. Choose for vintage furniture, Persian rugs and bronze or gold accents. Mix various colours such as purple, turquoise, green tones, azure blue, ochre yellow and bright pink as accent colours. Start in the base with natural tones such as taupe, beige, and brown. A Bohemian interior has an unmistakable, casual, and varied laid-back style.
